Sowing the seeds of concern for tree care and protection is an essential responsibility of the green industry. Engaging youth and sharing ways to learn about and to care for trees is vital to fostering the next generation of environmental stewards. Establishing a relationship to the environment and getting youth out of doors provides mental health and well-being benefits. Education and engagement fostered by participating in tree planting and care provides youth with the tools to become advocates for urban forestry and other environmental fields. Learn how the ACTrees network is engaging youth via the Youth Tree Steward grant program
